About Us
LDS Image Integrity is all about the never-ending concern of Judith Rasband, Editor, for the image needs of others--in this case, the image needs of fellow members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As speaker at the opening event of BYU Women, Fall Semester 2004, Judith Rasband stated: "We live in a morally sick society as traditional values are traded in on the latest trend in dress--and our numbers are not immune. Regardless of age, gender, or nationality, we are all children of God. We share the privilege of being created in His Own Image, male and female. But with this privilege comes responsibility--responsibility to look and act like a child of God and a follower of Christ. The everyday elements of image include dress, grooming, and body language--manner and manners. As an ongoing part of my work, I've tracked a casual dress downtrend evident over the past fifty years--a trend that continues to gain strength and is affecting all sectors of society, including the Church. My bookshelves and files are full of publications that reflect the decline in standards of dress and image. In 1985, I wrote a trade publication entitled, "America's Going Down The Tube In A T-Shirt." It was reviewed and selected for presentation at the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences annual convention. In 2001, I wrote "Non-Verbal Communication In Dress, Grooming, & Body Language Within The American & LDS Culture." I am currently expanding that article to book length, treating the loss of standards of modesty and beauty in dress and grooming. The tentative title is 'Modesty And So Much More.' Your input and experience is invited. Write to me."
